Best Times to Visit Disneyland Paris
Mid-Week (Tuesday through Thursday)
For a smoother and more relaxed experience, plan your visit between Tuesday and Thursday. These mid-week days generally see fewer local and international visitors, meaning shorter wait times at popular attractions and easier dining reservations. It’s the perfect choice if you want to explore both parks without the weekend rush.
Low-Season Periods
The most peaceful times to visit are mid-January to mid-March, late April to mid-May, and mid-September to early November. During these months, crowd levels drop, hotel rates are lower, and you’ll have more flexibility to enjoy the parades, shows, and rides at your own pace. The weather is mild, and lines are noticeably shorter, making it an ideal time for couples and adults visiting without children.
Early Morning Arrival
Arriving right as the parks open — or even earlier during Extra Magic Time — gives you a head start on the day. You’ll experience headline attractions like Big Thunder Mountain or Ratatouille: The Adventure with minimal waits. Morning light also makes for great photos, and the park ambiance feels calmer before the crowds arrive.
During Seasonal Celebrations and Events
Disneyland Paris transforms throughout the year, offering immersive seasonal experiences such as Disney Halloween Festival, Disney Enchanted Christmas, and New Year’s Eve parties. These are magical times to visit if you want festive parades, themed treats, and limited-time entertainment. While crowds tend to be larger, the atmosphere is unforgettable and well worth it for fans seeking extra magic.
Avoid Peak Travel Periods
If your goal is to maximize rides and minimize waiting, steer clear of summer (July–August), school holidays, and major French public holidays. These weeks often bring high visitor volumes and longer lines. Instead, consider traveling right before or after these busy periods for better availability and smoother logistics.

How to Get to Disneyland Paris
By Train / Rapid Transit
From central Paris: Take the RER A line toward Marne‑la‑Vallée/Chessy station (the park’s stop). The journey takes around 35-40 minutes from major central stations such as Châtelet-Les Halles.
The Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station is located just a short walk (around 2 minutes) from the gates of the parks, making the train option particularly straightforward.
Ideal for those staying in Paris or using public transportation.
By Bus / Coach / Shuttle
There are dedicated shuttle services, including the official “Magical Shuttle”, which operate between Paris airports (such as Charles de Gaulle Airport and Orly Airport) and the Disneyland resort.
From the city centre of Paris, there are also express coach services connecting various locations directly to the resort.
This option is especially useful if you have heavy luggage or prefer a door-to-door service rather than navigating train transfers.
Note: Shuttles take longer than the train and cost more, but they offer convenience.
By Car / Taxi / Private Transfer
Driving to Disneyland Paris is a flexible choice — the resort lies just off the A4 motorway east of Paris, making it accessible by car from the city and surrounding regions.
If arriving from the airport or with a group, a taxi or private transfer may be more comfortable; however, journey time and cost depend heavily on traffic.
Parking is available on-site (fee applies) unless you’re staying in one of the official Disney Hotels — many of which offer free guest parking.
From Airports (for International Guests)
From Charles de Gaulle (CDG): You can take the TGV high-speed train directly to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy in about 10–12 minutes.
From Orly (ORY) or Beauvais (BVA): Transfer by train or shuttle; journey time is roughly 60–75 minutes depending on connection.
For airport arrivals with luggage, consider shuttle services for more direct routing.

Interesting Facts About Disneyland Paris
The only dragon’s lair beneath a Disney castle
Beneath the park’s iconic Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant you’ll find a giant audio-animatronic dragon known as the “La Tanière du Dragon” — unique to this park.
Europe’s most-visited “castle”
The Sleeping Beauty castle in Disneyland Paris is regarded as the most visited castle in Europe (albeit fictional) and features distinctive French-inspired architecture.
Green and growing: nature in the park
The resort is home to more than 35,000 trees, 450,000 shrubs, and plants that evolve with the seasons — part of a major landscaping-and-biodiversity effort.
Multilingual magic for international guests
Character interactions and announcements are provided in multiple languages to cater to the international audience — a nod to its location and guest mix.
Secret tunnels and clever perspectives
Although lesser known, the park features behind-the-scenes passages and careful design tricks — for example the castle’s forced-perspective architecture to make it appear taller.
From “Euro Disney” to global destination
When it opened in 1992 the resort was originally called “Euro Disney” — now it’s a full resort with two parks and extensive hotel & shopping options.
High-tech sustainability initiative
The resort has installed tens of thousands of solar panels and its own wastewater treatment plant, saving millions of cubic meters of water and reducing its environmental footprint.
A ride-thrill not seen in many other Disney parks
The Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain (formerly Space Mountain) features full inversions and a launch — one of the most intense rides in the Disney family.
Hidden American history nods on Main Street
On the park’s Main Street, U.S.A., you’ll find an exhibit dedicated to the making of the Statue of Liberty in the separate Liberty Arcade — a subtle tie to French-American history.
Constant evolution and special events
The resort marks its anniversaries with major installations — for example, to celebrate its 30th anniversary, the “Gardens of Wonder” art-installations were introduced around the castle and in the park’s green spaces.
